A North Texas record! Today, for the first time in recorded history on Christmas Eve there has been enough snowfall to be measureable. 3 inches is what was reported near us at DFW Airport. 3 inches is exactly what I measured in our yard! I know that’s small potatoes to you northerns, but for Texas today was a big deal!
Lindsey and I both shot some photos and video of the excitement today. Her from home and me from the office. Enjoy!

I was a bit blown away at how Dean somehow knew how to make this sound. Male intuition I suppose.

Today Dean got his first haircut! Some might look at our little one and say, "His hair is short! No need to cut that yet." But, had they seen the mullet he was working on in the back? Not to say mullets can’t be cute, the do seem to be making a comeback. But, for now we thought a nice even look all around would suit him well for his upcoming 1yr birthday party next weekend.
He quickly claimed the red fire engine and hopped right on, ready to go. We loved our haircutter. She was fun with Dean and we felt very confident in the way she was handling him. They played a bit, cut a bit, played some more. Dean was real trooper the entire time, loving every minute of it. All in all it was a great experience and now Dean’s has the best looking ‘do in the family!

We’ve been working with Dean in order to prepare him for Aggie football season. Hopefully this little fan will bring some luck to the team.

Dean has been hanging out on all fours for a few weeks now. He’s not in any hurry to start cruising but sure enjoys faking Mom and Dad out! He has also realized that pulling up may be more fun that crawling. He is working hard, pulling up on anything he can. Although he can’t completely stand up yet he is getting close. I have been teaching Dean how to go from lying down to sitting as well. Today, during “nap time” he was finally able to get all the sitting up pieces together. As you can see from the video he was quite proud of his accomplishment!
