Matt, Dean and I were invited over to the Nagengats for game night Sunday night. There were 7 children, 100 wings, lots of noise and tons of fun! Thanks for hosting a great Sunday evening Nag family! We had a great time.
Here is the only picture I took the entire evening. I think it was the only time all the kids were still and we had to bribe them with ice cream and brownies!
Matt and I were invited over to Roxane and Oren’s for dinner last night. We hired a sitter and set out for a night of fun in Dallas. Roxane set the table with her new china and crystal, cooked a fabulous Italian meal, and even treated us to yummy gelato for dessert. It was a fantastic evening catching up with great friends. Thanks for hosting Roxy and Oren!
On a side note Dean loved his time with our new sitter Jenna. When he woke up this morning he wanted to know where she was! I think we will be hiring Jenna again soon.
Taking advantage of the Christmas holidays and time off school and work Dean and I made plans to meet up with my friend Courtney for lunch. I was excited to take Dean downtown and let him enjoy the sights and sounds of the city. The Wells Fargo building that Courtney works in was totally decked out for Christmas. It was beautiful and the Christmas tree in the lobby was HUGE! I just had to snap a picture of Dean next to this amazing tree.
We enjoyed lunch at Mi Cocina and loved getting the opportunity to catch up with Courtney. After lunch we headed over to KXAS to see Matt and catch a glimpse of his new office. Dean loved meeting all of Matt’s co-workers and I enjoyed seeing the new set that has consumed so much of Matt’s time. Our visit to KXAS was brief but fun. I’m glad Dean was able to check out the studio and see daddy’s office!
I am thankful for the holiday break so Dean and I can enjoy fun trips like these! Now we are gearing up for our big trip south for Christmas! I can’t wait!
During the Christmas break Miranda invited Dean, Glenda and I over for lunch. The boys enjoyed eating and playing while Glenda, Miranda and I made an attempt to have a few conversations. Miranda fixed a delicious lunch and the boys enjoyed exchanging their Christmas gifts before we left. It was nice to have a few hours with our friends before holiday visitors and traveling set in.
Matt has been on a project deadline at KXAS and has worked 7 days week. Dean and I were thankful that the project finally wrapped and we were able to enjoy the weekend with him. I wanted to fit in a few family Christmas activities before we headed to Houston and hopefully score a Christmas-y picture or two! We headed to the Gaylor Texan early Saturday morning and enjoyed looking at the decorations and watching the trains. Gavin and Miranda joined us. The two boys really enjoyed running through the large atrium of the hotel. What a fun morning for all!
