That state flower
Bluebonnet Bluebonnet with your coat so blue… when spring time arrives and the bluebonnets begin to peak out of the ground this song beings running through my head. We learned it in elementary school, I think we sang it every year. I’m sure this comes as not surprise that I still can remember the words to and sing songs from so long ago! Anyway, today Matt and I finally had the opportunity to take Dean’s first bluebonnet pictures. We have been wanting to snap a few pictures in the flowery fields for a few weeks now but haven’t found a spot that isn’t on the side of an incredibly busy freeway. For those of you who are still looking right next to Collins Street Bakery in Corsicana, TX there is the biggest field of bonnets. We took advantage of the safety and enjoyed a quick, impromptu photo session. The wind was whipping through the field so they aren’t the best pictures but they will provide great memories of a Texas spring. We’re already planning to take a trip back next year – Dean will be running through the fields by then which makes me think those pictures won’t be so great either! But oh so good times!

Oh, yea! I’m so glad you took the time on your way home for Dean’s first bluebonnet pics. You are both adorable!
