Blogging Short – Sacrifices
I have learned that when you have a newborn you make certain sacrifices along the way (some petty, others not so much). For example, when Matt and I left for the pediatrician this morning the bed wasn’t made, we hadn’t eaten breakfast, my shoes were brown and my purse was black, my hair was dirty and our house was a bit of a wreck!
In my Pre-Dean life, barring some disaster, these things would have never happened. But today, for some reason, I was just thankful to get out the door on time for our doctors appointment, and never even gave any of the above a second thought. Until it was time to blog that is…

Welcome to motherhood. Priorities shift. The bed, the purse and the hair are no longer important. Who sees your bed when you are away???? No one, Who cares if your purse matches….no one.
I bet Dean was dressed adorable and everything matched on him. Huh?? That’s motherhood.

Of course Dean was dressed in the cutest outfit that completely matched and he was clean. I hear you about the priorities!

It seems when you become a mom – that your main goal becomes that your kiddo is supposed to ALWAYS look better than you! Haha!
I spend much more time and thought on Riana’s clothing than I do on my own – hence 40 degree weather with a kiddo bundled up and me in short sleeves and flip flops wondering exactly how I thought it was cold enough for her to need 2 shirts and a jacket and I thought I would be just fine with nothing …. LOL!
Enjoy your kiddo and dont worry so much about your house! It isn’t filthy and it can be dealt with during nap!:) (but get excited – then they get old enough to like to sort things – then you play I-spy and make THEM clean! MWUAHAHA!)

Thanks Diane! He is such a joy in our life.
Jiff is doing a great job looking after Dean and being so gentle around him. He’s really a great family dog.
