30 Week Update & plea for help
Matt and I went to our 30 week appointment for Baby Hop yesterday. The appointment was wonderfully uneventful, a great heartbeat, awesome blood pressure for me, and enough weight gain to make me faint! Baby Hop is still a little big for his/her gestational age which means we’re looking at an 8 pounder (the doc estimates) but Matt and I were both good sized babies so it’s to be expected. Unfortunately there isn’t a correlation between my measurements and early delivers…bummer I was hoping to have a visit from the stork 3 weeks early! We are getting excited and with only about 10 weeks to go and are taking time to enjoy the simple life for a bit longer.
We need your help!!! We have managed to select a name if BH should happen to be a girl but are still at a loss for what to name a little boy. The doc said that definitely means it’s a boy! We need your help! Make suggestions please, you can leave any suggestions in the comments section…I mean it guys! come to our rescue, we need some ideas or else we may have a child named something crazy because we had to make a decision in haste before they would let us leave the hospital. If you don’t make suggestions you’ll be partly responsible for a child named Blanket Hopkins or Epi – dural Hopkins…and on and on… We can’t wait to see what you suggest.

Okay after looking through a list of baby boy names I’m shocked at how many seem like girl names, Ainsley?, Sage?, Rylan?, Brooke? All boy names. Weird huh?
Here’s what I think and these are probably names that you’ve already told me what you think of but I don’t remember so maybe you won’t either. Ha!
I like the name “Cole” it means “of triumphant people” which I think is fitting. I also like the name “Lucas” and you could call him “Luke”, it means “light”. And I love the idea of using family names so I think that “Christian” and “Dayle” should be high on the list, maybe for middle names.
When BH arrives you’ll know his/her name and it will be perfect. Don’t let the weight thing scare you too much either. Those Drs. sometimes overestimate. Although it is good to be prepared
.
Love you and hope we can chat soon about things!

Hi Ya’ll-
Well, my 2 cent contributions of boy’s names are:
Grant – tall, big
Keller – dear friend
Josiah – Jehovah helps
Micah – resembles God
Thor – Norse god of thunder and power
Matteo – a varient of Mathew – gift of the Lord
I agree with Myra, I suspect you will know when you see him.

Thank goodness I have a girl – cause it IS hard to think of boy names – isnt it?
And yeah on the size thing – I wouldn’t get too worried about that yet. Jessica was told her baby would be 9lbs and it came out 6lbs! Its a rough guess!
