SHSU Girls Dinner

While Matt has been working out of town I have been taking advantage of opportunities to catch up with friends.  I had a great time eating dinner with the Humble/Aldine girls that I went to grad school with at Mamasitas a few weeks ago.   It was nice to sit down and catch up on all that has been happening since school has ended (for them, not me).  We are all working as school counselors, at different school and for different age levels and never seem to have a lack of great stories to share about our experiences in the public school system!

Digital 4.4 & News RAW @ NBC ArtWorks

Last week I wrapped up my first major project with ArtWorks, the NBC owned motion graphics company where I am freelancing right now. The project was a redesign and animation package for the online and soon to be on-air channel Digital 4.4 and their headlining news show News RAW. 4.4 is a part of KNBC, the NBC affiliate in Los Angeles.

Wii fun

I’ve got the fever!  Matt and I recently went over my friend Anita’s house with our friends Jana and Derek for a night of games and snacks.  Tom and Anita are proud owners of a Nintendo Wii and I want one!  This is a great little game console, much cooler than the regular kind.  It’s easy for the regular gal to play!  Matt and I had a great time with our friends, the boys ended up dominating the Wii that night playing Tiger Woods Golf while the girls just chatted but it was a great night of fun.  Maybe Wii will get a Wii…one day!

Getting’ Ready for Christmas

Matt and I had a great time decorating for Christmas this year. Last year we didn’t have a tree so this year we had fun putting up the tree and getting out all of our Christmas decorations! It was a special and fun time for us. Matt learned how to put up an artificial tree…for the first time in his life! Maybe next year we’ll spring for the real tree.
