Ryan & Kiley’s Wedding!

Ryan & Kiley’s Wedding!

The Hopkins family traveled to Indianapolis, Indiana this past weekend for Matt’s cousin’s wedding. We had a terrific time. Matt flew from San Francisco and the Hopkins, Grandma, Grandaddy and I few from Houston and all met in beautiful, cool, and sunny Indianapolis. After arriving we checked into the hotel and went to Aunt Cheri’s house for lunch. Along with lunch we got to see a few more cousins, aunts, and assorted friends and relatives who were in town. It was great to get to meet all the people I had heard Matt talk about since we had been dating. After lunch we dashed back to the hotel, rapidly changed our clothes and headed to the church for the rehearsal. The rehearsal dinner was held at Rock Bottom Brewery in downtown Indianapolis and was a blast. We enjoyed chatting with friends of Ryan and Kiley’s, hanging out with Matt’s family and getting to spend time catching up on years of lost time (well, Matt did). After the dinner the party moved to club blu – Indianapolis’ premiere night club! It was a flash back to our younger days of clubbing but we loved toasting Ryan on his last night as a single man.

On Saturday I was eager to see the sights of Indiana! Matt and I walked around the museums near our hotel, caught a little Colt fever at the WestFest exhibit outside the Native American museum and talked Ronny into renting a surrey with us to ride around town and down beside the river. It was a beautiful day and a great way to see the city.

Ryan and Kiley were married at 4:30 on Saturday afternoon in a beautiful ceremony. Of course the bride was beautiful as well as her bridesmaids and all the gals involved! After the wedding the reception was held at the Indiana State museum. Talk about a party! We were all sad when the night had to come to an end…well, I think Ronny & Grandaddy were glad so they could get us all back to the hotel – enough dancing for them!

Sunday was a relaxing day filled with food and family. We enjoyed breakfast with the Medley clan and then a brunch at Matt’s Uncle Bill’s house. I was so relaxed I didn’t want to leave for the airport. I think I even mentioned that I would be willing to move to Indianapolis! What a great weekend! Congratulations Ryan and Kiley!

Logan’s Baptism weekend!

Logan’s Baptisim weekend!

Matt came home this past weekend for Logan’s baptism. He arrived early Saturday morning for a very quick and fun weekend. The fun began with an eye appointment for Matt – he picked out some great new glasses! After the appointment we met up with Adam and Genie at the Hopkins where Genie and I watched the boys, along with Ronny, install a new stove for Carla. It took the boys a little bit of time to get it right but the end result was beautiful. To conclude our great Saturday we met my friend Jana and her husband Derek, their neighbors John and Nicole as well as Lesley, Travis, Adam, and Genie at Fiesta Azteca for happy hour, dinner and Football. After dinner we all ventured over to the humble favorite…or not so favorite Mulligans for more football. Too bad the hogs lost to Bama but the Ags won!

On Sunday afternoon Layne and Amanda had Logan baptized and Matt and I were asked to be Godparents. The service took place at St. Simon and Jude Catholic Church and was very special for Logan and his family. Matt and I are honored to play such a special role in his life. After the baptismal service we all went to Layne and Amanda’s for lunch and family fun. It was a wonderful weekend together and we are counting down the days until we will be together again. This weekend we are heading to Indiana for Matt’s cousins’ wedding…stay tuned for pics.

We have been in school for one week and it’s already time for a long weekend. After such a crazy start to school everyone in the Yeager family was looking forward to the break. We all headed to the lake on Saturday morning for a lazy time of fun and sun. Morgan and Emma enjoyed playing together while Layne, Lesley, Amanda, Travis and I played on the water. Unfortunately, Matt didn’t get to take part in our fun weekend. Morgan missed Uncle Matt the most. Luckily she’ll get to see him in 2 weeks when he comes home for Logan’s baptism.
