Matt’s parents come to visit!
Carla/Mom & Ronny/Dad came to visit Matt and me for the weekend. We were so excited to have family in town! Matt and I planned a terrific weekend for them full of the sights and sounds of the Bay Area. On Friday I took Ronny and Carla to the Oakland Rose garden to enjoy the beautiful weather and roses while Matt went to class followed by a trip to the Emeryville Mall to meet Matt for dinner. Saturday we drove to Napa and enjoyed a day touring wineries, admiring art, and drinking a little wine. It was a perfect day with family. Sunday we had the joy of sharing our San Francisco church with Ronny & Carla. We started our day at Cornerstone church and followed up our worship experience with a terrific lunch in China Town, it was so yummy!!! Then Matt and I unveiled our big surprise, we had bought tickets to the Jersey Boys musical! It was a great show and Ronny & Carla loved the surprise. We are all still singing the 4 Season’s hits. Monday was filled with hiking around Muir Woods. The redwoods are so big…it’s a great reminder of how little we are in this giant world. On Monday night while Matt was in class Carla and I cooked up some great food for Matt. Unfortunately, on Tuesday the visit had to come to an end and Ronny & Carla returned to Humble. Matt and I enjoyed their visit and look forward to spending another fun filled week again soon.

WOW – we were busy!! Thank you both again for such an awesome visit!
Our time together with you at your home was so special. Your thoughtful and caring ways with one another are so naturally loving. (I know that wasn’t just an act for our benefit!)
And I can’t believe all the places we went, things we saw, and fun we had together in Oakland, Napa, and San Fran! And the way you pulled off the “Jersey Boys” surprise was the coolest! You are wonderful hosts and we have memories and pictures we will treasure forever!
