This assignment was to create an animation based on our name where you were briefly inside the world of the objects that will eventually come together to form our name as the camera moves out to reveal the name. Think Lego meets Atari.
If the video has trouble playing smoothly from the start, press pause and let it load all the way before pressing play again. My host is “supposedly” working out apparent speed issuses with the servers on their end.

Relaxing times…
This past Wednesday Matt’s Ad Concepts II class finished. To celebrate the last day of class we invited a few of Matt’s classmates over for a great Texas meal of Chili and beer. It was fun for me to meet the guys Matt spends his days with and it was some of the boys’ first Frito pie experience.
On Saturday we took advantage of the beautiful weather by walking down to the Lake Merritt Farmers Market. Living by the Chinese proverb we used our two coins – bought produce with one and flowers with the other. Matt bought a beautiful bouquet of fuchsia roses he knew I would love. We also found some great deals on mushrooms, lettuce and potatoes. After shopping around the market we worked our way back home with a walk around the lake. The Canadian Geese are leaving the area so we can spend more time around the lake again. Hooray!!! Shooo birds! It was nice for Matt and me to get to spend a Saturday morning together in such a leisurely way.

We did a show package for Bravo’s Top Chef reality show this past term. This video is a compilation of the show open, lower 3rds and bumpers out to and in from commercial that we designed. This was a group project that consisted of myself and 2 other guys from the class.

Last night I experienced my very first earthquake and for Matt, the biggest of all since he has lived in the Bay Area. About 8:18 last night Matt and I were snuggled up in our bed watching our favorite Thursday night television shows when the house began to shake. It was very odd, at first the dresser across the room started to move and I was thinking hummm what’s making the dresser move, could it be one of the cats? And then the bed started shaking. I knew Matt wasn’t moving our bed but again I just couldn’t quite put it all together. After about 5 seconds of everything shaking it all stopped. Matt then said, “I think we just had an earthquakeâ€.  The epicenter of the quake was in Lafayette, CA about 13 miles away from our house. This wasn’t “the†big one, it was a 4.2, but was felt all around the Bay Area.  Now I feel like I am a true Bay Area gal, I’m not ready to experience the big one but I feel like I know what to expect in case another one comes our way.
