30 Minute Meals, 2 Hour Waits
For my Christmas present this year Matt was so sweet and did some amazing research. He learned that Rachael Ray was coming to town on a book signing tour. Her new cookbook is hot off the press and she came to Corta Madera, CA to promote it. On Monday I took the day off work and Matt and I drove out to Corta Madera, which is just across the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco, for the great event. We arrived at Williams-Sonoma around 11:00 AM for the 11:30AM book signing. It turned out every woman in the Bay Area had the same desire, a cookbook signed by Rachel Ray! Luckily we had tickets and were 2 of the 300 fortunate people who got to see the great cook – thank goodness for Matt’s great planning. We found our way to the end of the line and let the waiting begin. After making friends with everyone in line around us and waiting for two hours in the rain it was finally my turn to meet the 30-minute queen! It was so much fun. Rachael is so tiny, she must only be 5 feet tall and 100 pounds – no wonder she never diets. She is the same in person as she is on her TV show. And she even signed my book Yum-o! It was the best Christmas present ever and a great day spent with Matt. I must be the luckiest girl in the world to have a hubby who will plan such a great gift! Thanks Matt! Now, I’ll get cooking some delicious 30-minute meals for him! Until Then!
